This Sunday, Jenny Slate & I Like Attention
Dec 3rd, 2007 by Max
Hiya friends,
Oh man, December 9th is almost here and with it a brand-new I Like Attention. This show is going to be crazy fun. My co-host this month is the overwhelmingly beautiful and talented Jenny Slate, from VH1’s Best Week Ever and tons of other stuff. For example, as one-half of Gabe & Jenny, she co-hosts a show at Rififi. One time, she was almost in a German douche commercial. I could go on. Jenny makes me laugh harder than anybody else in the world, so this show is going to be very silly with lots of giggling and playful swearing. Also, we realized recently that when we were kids we both had extra teeth behind our noses and had to get them surgically removed and we both looked really stupid for a while. (But not anymore, kinda!) So what with the holidays and all, we will sip hot cider and talk about presents and share stories and you don’t want to miss it.
Joining us in the comedy this month:
Cracked Out: there are no words to describe Brett Gelman and Jon Daly’s ridiculous hip-hop duo. They are not safe for work.
Jon Friedman: he is a tremendously funny person who hosts The Rejection Show and does like a billion other things. He one time voiced a cartoon bear on television.
Lang Fisher: this Southern belle writes for the Onion News Network and has a very funny life.
Aubrey Tennant: he is from Vancouver and a crazy person but in that great way that is funny and not actually crazy or dangerous.
There will also be more surprises. Perhaps a video or two and also a special guest that I can’t say. New York Magazine called this show “buzzy” so that means that the audience will only bloggers and new media essayists. I’ll be live-podcasting the whole thing from my pants. Immediately afterwards, a chill after-party and you can sneak looks at the burlesque show.
